At present all volunteering with KPS is on hold, but if you’re looking to volunteer once things get back to normal (whenever that is), we will welcome volunteers for the following opportunities:
HIV Awareness Speakers
We send guest speakers on the subject of HIV into schools all over Cornwall, so you can be assigned to a school near you. You will be given full training, and will then shadow one of our current guest speakers until you feel confident enough to deliver sessions on your own. You’ll be part of a team, so your commitment would be a few hours a month. All you need is access to a car when required, a non-judgemental attitude and a commitment to confidentiality.
We provide all your materials and pay your expenses. We can also give you a reference if you are looking for a job. To find out more about our HIV Awareness sessions, click here.
Do you have business skills? Fundraising experience? Are you great with figures? Then help shape KPS and its future. Useful skills would be Management, Accountancy, HR, Marketing, Fundraising.
Expenses paid. Time commitment: meetings every three months, and whatever you agree at those meetings to do. Meetings take place at The Hub, Treliske Hospital, which has wheelchair access.
If these look like something for you, you can find our opportunities on Do-It
